Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 28th September - All 25 seen

Cows 33, 217, 228, 235, 242 and 245 were all lying down relaxing in the afternoon sunshine in the area around ///shells.ulterior.earth at 15:40.  Yearling 242 was doing his very best to hide in some bracken!

Older cow 35 was standing under a tree chewing his cud at ///wired.theory.slate at 16:20.  Cows 20, 30, 213, 241, 244 and 257 were all found grazing relatively close by.

Youngster 220 and yearlings 238 and 247 were found grazing in the area around ///cringe.spindles.dunk at the top end of the site at 17:15.

The others, cows 21, 72, 219, 221, 226, 230, 248 and 940, were all found grazing in the area around ///coast.pelt.motoring shortly before 18:00.  Youngster 222 was found munching in the trees by the fishing lake, but he soon decided to wander off and catch up with the others.

All the cows were good this afternoon.  They were really widely spread over the site in their four groups today!
