Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 17th September - 23 seen

Older cow 21, youngsters 217 and 230 plus yearling 242 were found in the trees beside the gate to Camp 45 at 09:50 this morning.  Yearlings 238, 241, 244, 247, 248 and 257 were all grazing in the area around ///irrigate.impose.craters a short while later.  The four wandered along and joined them.  Shortly before 10:20, I heard some bellowing coming from the direction of Camp 45, so walked along and found youngsters 219 and 221 at ///consoles.plump.rapid.  They too wandered along and joined the others, who continued to graze in the warm sunshine.

Older cows 33, 72 and 940 plus youngsters 213, 222 and 226 plus yearling 245 were found in the area around ///flattery.shuttled.traders at 11:30.  Older cows 20 and 30 plus youngster 235 were lying down relaxing and chewing their cud.  Cow 35 turned up about twenty minutes later, having climbed up the hill.

Despite an exhaustive search of the site, I wasn't able to find youngsters 220 and 228 today.  I circled back around the first group as I was leaving, and they hadn't joined them.

All the cows that were seen were good today.
