For the first time in a long time, the cows were more or less all together in the same place at the same time. Cows 21, 33, 72, 213, 217, 219, 221, 222, 226, 241, 242 and 940 were all in the trees by Camp 45 at 15:50 this afternoon. Youngster 219 was lying down relaxing, while the others were initially standing chewing their cud before some others lay down too. Youngster 235 and yearling 238 were lying down in the bracken opposite.
Older cows 20, 30 and 35 were grazing in the thicket around ///convert.dialects.soothing close by. Youngster 220 and yearling 245 were hunting for acorns in the trees at ///wolves.sending.pulled beside Bourley Lane. Youngsters 228 and 230 plus yearlings 244, 247, 248 and 257 were all happily grazing in the area around ///fillings.flannel.printout.
All the cows were good this afternoon.
Emergency Procedure
If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:
NOTES:
Thank you!
- Call the office on 01256 381190.
- If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
- Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.
NOTES:
- Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.
- If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.
- Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.
