Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 24th September - All 25 seen

Youngsters 219 and 221 plus yearling 241 were seen at ///widen.shine.sleeper at 15:20 this afternoon.  Cow 221 was lying down, relaxing and chewing her cud.  The other two looked like they hadn't long got up.  Cow 219 had lots of flies on his face.  Yearlings 247 and 257 were grazing a bit further round the path at ///downcast.viewer.shopper.

A mixed group of sixteen were found in the area around ///motive.beefed.shame at 16:10.  Fourteen were lying down chewing their cud or having a little snooze.  Older cows 30 and 35 were grazing in some bushes close to them.

Older cow 33 was lying down under a tree on the other side of the path at ///defectors.barman.fattening.  Youngster 228 was grazing a bit further along the path at ///cycled.eliminate.spit with yearlings 245 and 248 both grazing close by.

All the cows were good this afternoon.
