Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 10th September - 21 seen

Older cow 21, youngsters 213, 217, 219, 221, 226, 228 and 230 plus yearlings 241, 244, 245, 247 and 257 were all seen grazing in the vicinity of the large lake and fishing hut at 09:55 this morning.  They were fairly widely spread.  Youngsters 219, 221 and 230 were grazing in the trees, while the others were out in the open.  They were all a little damp but were drying off.

Youngster 220 and yearlings 238 and 248 were found grazing in the area around ///clogging.increases.tourist near the Caesar's fence line at 10:45 this morning.  A short while later, yearling 242 was found wandering along a path alone at ///compliant.shall.spoils.  He stopped and said hello before wandering off in the direction of the other three.

By 11:30 older cows 20, 30, 33 and 35 had joined the initial thirteen in the area around ///thud.stack.shadow.  Cow 30 was lying down relaxing while the others were all busy grazing.

Despite searching for another hour, I still wasn't able to find the other four today (cows 72, 222, 235 and 940).

All the cows that were seen were good.
