Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 19th October - 21 seen

Cows 21, 30, 33, 72, 221, 222, 238, 245, 248 and 257 were all found in the area around ///sculpture.nightlife.soda at 15:10 this afternoon.  They were widely spread out but were all busy munching on grass, leaves, bracken or gorse.

Cows 20, 226, 228 and 940 were all found around ///learn.candles.soonest at 16:30.  Youngster 228 was initially lying down, but soon got up and started grazing with the other three.

Youngster 230 and yearlings 241, 242, 244, and 247 were all busy grazing in the boggy area around ///stag.arise.blaze at 17:00.

Youngsters 217 and 220 were hunting for acorns amongst the leaves around ///nicer.lush.spilling about 15 minutes later.  The cows from the first two groups slowly joined them, and they all started grazing in the surrounding area, including on the side of the small fishing lake.

Would love to know where cows 35, 213, 219 and 235 are hanging out!  Had no luck finding them again today and was losing the light by 18:15 so had to give up.  All the other cows were good.
