Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 16th October - 21 seen

Yearling 241 was searching for acorns around ///broadens.downs.signified at 14:20 this afternoon.  Yearlings 238 and 244 appeared from the neighbouring bracken and joined her.

Cows 20, 30, 72, 217, 220, 221, 222, 230 and 940 were all lying down, resting and chewing their cud under the trees in the area around ///clan.infinite.reprints at 15:30.  Cows 20, 226, 228 and 247 were grazing around them.  Older cows 21 and 33 were lying down out in the open.   After a while, more started to get up and go grazing.  This included cow 222, whose leg was fine today - no sign of the red marks that were there yesterday.

Cow 242 was found deep in the thicket around ///sped.sounding.risks at 16:20.  He was busy munching away.  A bit odd he was there by himself, but there was no sign of any other cows nearby.

Found yearlings 238, 241 and 244 again at 16:35 deep in the trees around ///guilty.neatly.selects.  They had been joined by yearlings 245, 248 and 257.  They were all hunting for acorns.

All the cows that were seen were good today.  No sign of cows 35, 213, 219 or 235 either day this weekend.
