Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Wednesday 5th October - All 25 seen

Older cows 21, 30 and 72 were all at the far side of the large fishing lake at 15:40 this afternoon.  Cow 21 was under a tree, chewing his cud and gazing out, hoping the rain would stop, Cow 30 was grazing on the bank, while cow 72 was in the trees munching on leaves.

Older cow 33 was grazing in the area around ///remaining.hormones.pilots.  Youngster 235, who was really wet, was grazing close by.

Cows 20, 213, 217, 220, 222, 226, 228, 230, 238, 245 and 940 were all found in little groups of ones and two, deep in the trees around ///lofts.rebounded.with.  They were all happily eating, oblivious to the frequent heavy rain showers.  Cows 219, 221, 242, 247 and 257 were grazing on the other side of the path, amongst the thick bracken.

Yearlings 241, 244 and 248 were found grazing together around ///blush.fillings.thickens at 16:45. Finally, older cow 35 was found alone, chewing his cud on the side of the reservoir around ///canoe.swelling.vies at 17:25.

All the cows were good today.
