Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 9th October - 23 seen

Older cows 20, 35 and 940 were all lying down, resting and chewing their cud around ///gloves.invest.radiates at the top end of the site at 11:35 this morning.

Cows 217, 220, 230, 238, 242, 247 and 248 were widely spread, deep in the trees around ///grunt.revealing.gains just after noon.  They were rooting around looking for acorns.

Older cows 33 and 72 were grazing in the bushes around ///windpipe.solids.haggis at 12:30.

Youngsters 213, 219, 228 and 235 were grazing around ///physical.matter.tabs about 15 mins later.  Youngsters 221 and 226 appeared from the thicket around ///gratitude.belts.fighters and headed off in their direction.

Youngster 222 and yearlings 241 and 244 were grazing in the area around ///bunny.singled.sprouting at 13:00.  Older cows 21 and 30 were found in the trees at ///bend.broken.ratio.  Cow 30 was lying down chewing his cud while 21 was standing close by.  I must have missed them the first time I passed by!

Despite a good search, I wasn't able to find yearlings 245 and 257 today.  The other cows were all good.
