Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Saturday 15th October - 19 seen - 222 has a couple of "scratches" on his right lower leg

Cows 20 and 940 were munching on leaves in the trees around ///yards.material.spud at 10:40 this morning.  Cow 242 was grazing close by and wandered over to say hello. On my search today, I passed Hades another three times and each time he was busy munching on grass.  He's often been found lying down resting recently while the others have been grazing, so hopefully, he's found his appetite.

Older cows 21 and 33 were grazing in the area around ///pencil.league.amending at 11:00.  Cows 30 and 247 were grazing a bit further along the same path.

Cows 72, 222, 226 and 230 were found grazing around ///series.discloses.abode.  Cow 222 had what looked like two scratches on his right front lower leg, which were a bit red (photo below).  They were not bothering him or affecting his mobility while he was happily eating.

Youngsters 217 and 221 were found grazing around ///bloom.corals.funds at 12:20.  Youngsters 220 and 228 were found rooting around in the nearby trees a short while later.

Eventually found yearlings 244 and 245 in the thicket around ///heartburn.boat.rope at 14:25.  Yearlings 248 and 257 were also grazing close by.

No clue where the other six were today.  The cows that were found were all good.
