The cows were all gathered under the trees in the far southeast corner of the site at 09:50 this morning. They were all resting, with most chewing their cud. A short time later, several of the cows started to lie down and relax. They were all happy and looking well.
By 10:15, about half of the cows had emerged from the trees and had started to graze, eating lots of grass. Fifteen minutes later, all the cows had got up and the whole herd had stretched their legs and wandered along to the stream to have a drink. They were all on their best behaviour and queued up patiently. After those that wanted a drink had finished, the herd then started to graze. They were slowly making their way back towards the corner when I left them at 11:00.
The graze on youngster 220's foot wasn't visible today.
The cows were all good today.
