Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 24th March - All 26 seen

The cows were all spread out in the main pasture, grazing in the sunshine at 11:20 this morning.  They were all enjoying lots of grass.  They were all happy and relaxed and looking well.

By 11:55 some of the cows had started to lie down, relax and chew their cud.  Steers 33, 219 and 227 plus cows 72, 215 and 940 were relaxing around ///bulbs.tiger.shock.  The seven Sussex's and cow 214 were lying down together about 120 metres to the northeast.  The two yearlings had disappeared into the thicket in the centre of the site.  Yearling 271 had his feet deep in the muddy ditch while eating, while yearling 270 was having a good scratch against a tree stump.  The others were all still grazing.

The cows were all good today.
