Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Tuesday 22nd August - All 19 seen

Steer 20 and cow 940 were happily eating in the area around ///myths.served.fats at 17.20 this evening.  They were nice and relaxed.

The other seventeen were spread out in the area between the side of the fishing hut and the large fishing lake.  Cows 215, 217, 228, 230, 270 and 271 were all lying down at the side of the lake where they were relaxing and chewing their cud.   Several others looked as though they had just got up and were standing chewing their cud.  Cow 234 was lying down on the patch of the grass at the side of the fishing hut.  Cow 214 was munching on the grass beside her with steer 227 standing chewing his cud.   Youngster 222 was standing to the side of the wooden table at the fishing hut, but wandered over and said hello when I took a seat.

The cows began to slowly wander off in the direction where cows 20 and 940 were first found, grazing as they went.  After a short while, they went into the thicket where they continued to graze before emerging onto the path around ///cheater.converged.matter at 17:50.  They wandered along the path for a bit before disappearing into the thicket on the other side.

The cows were all good this evening.
