Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Monday 7th August - All 19 seen - fence good

Cows 30, 72, 217 and 940 were found grazing on the grass at the side of the path at the north end of the larger fishing lake at 15:55 this afternoon.  Cows 35, 220, 222 and 230 emerged from the trees at the west side of the lake and slowly made their way round to the others.

The other eleven were found in the area around ///trucks.acted.jots at 16:45.  Cows 21, 214, 215, 234 and 271 were all lying down, relaxing and chewing their cud.  The other six were all happily munching on the fresh grass.  By 17:00 they had all lay down beside the others and had started to rest and chew their cud.

Circled back round to see the first eight as I was leaving at 17:30 and six were lying down relaxing on the strip of grass in front of the fishing hut car park.  Cows 35 and 230 were munching in the thicket around ///stung.myth.latter.

The cows were all good today.  The Beacon Hill Road fence was also good.
