Cows 20, 21, 72, 217, 270 and 940 were spread out grazing in the area around ///sweeper.pegs.gates at 09:30 this morning. Cow 35 was munching on grass in amongst the bracken on the other side of the path. Cows 30, 33, 222, 214 and 215 were eating leaves from the trees on the slope behind the first group but slowly made their way down to join them.
Found youngster 230 grazing in the woods around ///layers.tenure.happen at 10.15. He was by himself but came over to say hello. He then headed off in the direction of the first twelve cows.
After taking a walk around the site and checking the Beacon Hill Road fence, which was intact, I circled back around and found cows 219, 227, 228 and 234 had joined the first thirteen. All four were munching on grass around ///examples.belt.suits at 11:05. Cows 21, 214, 215, 230 and 270 were lying down close by. The other eight were all either lying down or grazing in the thicket on the other side of the path.
The cows got a little spooked when a horse-drawn carriage being used by the film company went past at 11.20. British White 234 was particularly jumpy, but they all quickly calmed down and soon lay back down.
Eventually found the missing two at 12.15. Youngster 220 was standing on the east bank of the larger fishing lake relaxing and chewing his cud, while yearling 271 was busy munching on the fresh grass. Sadly, they too got a little spooked when a group of over twenty horses and other vehicles went past.
After the horses passed, the cows relaxed a bit and I managed to persuade them to follow me to the area around ///voices.stems.only where they initially met cows 72 and 940, but soon walked a bit further and met the others. There was much mooing going on as they followed me, and when they joined up with the rest of the herd.
The cows were all good today.
