Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thursday 18th August - All 25 seen

    Cows 20, 30, 33, 72, 213, 217, 221, 235 and 940 were grazing amongst the trees at ///flags.complies.prom at 17:50 this evening.  They were all happily munching away.

    Cows 21, 35, 219, 222, 226, 228 and 241 were found an hour later grazing around ///waltzes.companies.tech.

    Yearlings 238, 244, 245, 247, 248 and 257 plus youngster 220 were found lying down, relaxing in the area around ///daring.frock.entitles.  Yearling 242 and youngster 230 were grazing close by.  Yearling 257 had completely buried himself in some bracken.  If he hadn't left his ear tag visible I would never have found him!

    All the cows were good tonight.
