Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 7th August - All 25 seen

Cows 30, 213, 238, 241 245, 248 and 257 were all lying down resting in the area around ///crop.flicks.corrects at 18:45 this evening.  Youngsters 219 and 228 were grazing alongside.

    Cows 20, 217, 220, 221, 222 and 230 were in the trees at ///shuttered.pizzeria.steep munching on leaves.

The other ten were in or around the trees at ///newspaper.solicitor.proved.  Most were busy grazing or eating leaves from trees.  Cow 242 had buried himself in the bracken to try to escape the flies, but it wasn't really working.

The water trough was about a third full and filling.   The tank was half full.

The cows were all good this evening.  Unfortunately, there were lots of flies around.
