Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Saturday 27th August - All 25 seen

Cows 220 and 257 were seen grazing along the side of the path around ///wand.comical.variously at 09:40 this morning.  A mixed group of twenty were all happily grazing in the area around ///drizzly.flippers.switched.  They were fairly widely spread out.  Older cow 940 decided to take a little break and have a sit down in the sunshine.  I've no idea what yearling 238 had been up to, but she had thick mud on her legs up to above her knees!

Youngsters 213, 219 and 230 came wandering down the side of the large fishing lake at 10:15.  They had a bit of a graze and a drink of water before heading over to meet up with the others.

All the cows were good this morning.
