Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

Sunday 4th February - All 4 seen - Additional afternoon check

As I was passing Camp 45 on my way back from Long Valley at 14.30, I noticed the horses from the Drag Hunt were in the pasture around ///sheets.gems.prefer. The cows had moved to the north-west and were standing around the cattle grid near Bourley Road. They were all good but seemed happy to see me, with me receiving several moos as I arrived.

The hounds, horses and riders were all having a rest. They all left Camp 45 about fifteen minutes later, crossing over Bourley Road onto the MoD land to the north.

After they left, the cows got back to grazing. I stayed with them for a while just to ensure they were okay. As I was leaving the site, I walked through the pasture just to check nothing had been left behind.
