Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Thursday 4th May - All 17 seen

A mixed group of twelve cows were all lying down, relaxing in the area around ///replace.blows.rules at 17:35 this evening.  They were all resting or chewing their cud.  Unfortunately, there were many flies again today.  Cows 35, 221, 217 and 228 were all happily grazing on the lovely long grass.  Youngster 219 wandered over from the stream and joined the four who were grazing.

By 18:00 all the cows had got up and all seventeen went off grazing together on a slow loop of the site.  They seemed to particularly enjoy the grass in the area around ///clown.dares.exotic and stayed there for quite a while.  They continued grazing until they ended up back where they started at 19:20.  Several of them then went for a drink of water at the stream.

The cows were all good this evening.
