Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    Sunday 13th November - 15 seen

Cows 20, 21, 33, 72, 235 and 940 were grazing in the area around ///gent.defected.ears at 10:25 this morning.  Cow 35 was munching on a holly bush in the neighbouring trees.

Youngsters 222 and 228 were grazing at the side of the smaller lake.  Youngster 213 was grazing nearby, on the raised bank on the other side of the footpath.  Youngsters 217, 219, 221 and 226 were all munching on leaves at the bottom of the sloped bank of the small lake.  They were getting themselves into some rather interesting positions!  Older cow 30 was grazing in the trees on the far side of the small lake around ///inflamed.invents.rocked.

Despite searching the site until 13:00, I couldn’t find youngsters 220 and 230.  There was a Southern Navigators Orienteering Club event on Caesar's and Gelvert today, which saw the competitors running through various parts of the site, including the forest, which made searching for cows extra fun!

All the cows that were found were good.
