Wednesday 16th August - All 19 seen - fence good

Youngsters 217 and 219 were grazing on the patch of grass in front of the car park at the fishing hut at 16.35 this afternoon.  They appeared to be enjoying the sunshine.  Steers 33, 222 and 270 were close by standing at the edge of the fishing lake.   Older steer 35 plus youngsters 220 and 230 were busy grazing in the swampy land around ///over.ignore.join a short time later.

Older steer 21 was by himself, wandering along the path around ///freed.suiting.fiction at 17:00.  He was heading in the direction of the first eight cows.

Cows 214, 215, 227, 228 and 234 were all lying down together in the area around ///marbles.roaming.etchings at 17:45.   They were all relaxing and chewing their cud.  Cow 940 was lying down, hidden in the bracken at the side of the path a bit further on.  Cow 72 was munching on leaves beside her.  Steer 20 was lying down on the other side of the path from the first five.  He was resting and chewing his cud under a tree, with most of his body buried in the thicket.  Yearling 271 was having a good scratch on a neighbouring tree before he crossed over and lay down beside the group of five.

Had a good search for the missing older steer 30 in the surrounding area with no luck.  So started to head back to the area where I saw the first nine and found steers 21, 35, 220, 222, 230 and 270 all munching on the long grass around ///stiff.whizzing.gifts at 18:30.   Steers 33, 217, 219 and the missing steer 30 were all grazing together a bit further on around ///drives.grabs.bulletins about ten minutes later.

The cows were all good today, as was the Beacon Hill Road fence.

Tuesday 15th August - All 19 seen - fence good

A mixed group of eleven cows were found in the area around ///stray.earlobes.bill at 17.35 this afternoon.  They were all lying down, relaxing and chewing their cud.  Youngster 230 had completely buried himself in some bracken.  The others were all out in the open, fairly spread out.  Occasionally they'd get up, have a stretch, reposition and lie back down.   They all seemed happy enough, despite the large number of flies bothering them.

The other eight, cows 21, 33, 35, 214, 215, 220, 222 and 227, were all found in the trees around ///collision.alike.cross at 18:00.  Cow 21 was standing near the fence, chewing his cud.  He paused for a bit and had a good scratch against one of the trees.  The other seven were all lying down among the trees, resting and chewing their cud.  The cows were all very relaxed today.

The cows were all good today.  The Beacon Hill Road fence was also good.

Sunday 13th August - All 19 seen

The cows were all together in the area around ///fellow.qualify.taskbar at 10.15 this morning.  Steer 227 was lying down, relaxing and chewing his cud on one side of the path.  The other eighteen were on the other side.  Most were lying down in a big huddle, resting.  Yearling 271 was having a snooze.  Cow 215 plus steers 217 and 219 were happily munching on leaves from the bramble bushes.   The steers soon went and lay down, leaving cow 215 to graze on the fresh grass by herself.

Just before 10:45 there was a heavy rain shower.  The cows all quickly got up, crossed over the path and moved into the trees where they took shelter.  After the shower passed, several of the cows came out of the trees and started to graze on the fresh grass.   They were all happy and very relaxed.

The cows were all good today.

Saturday 12th August - All 19 seen - fence good

Youngsters 222 and 230 plus yearlings 270 and 271 were busy munching on grass in the area around ///fattening.quickly.cloth at 10:25 this morning.  

The other fifteen were a bit further along the track at ///convey.scoots.dance.  Most were lying down, relaxing and chewing their cud.  Older steer 30 was standing in the trees chewing his cud, with youngster 220 lying at his feet.  Older steer 21 was also standing chewing his cud, before crossing over the path and going off to munch on some leaves.  Youngster 220 got up and joined him.  Older steers 20 and 35 had found a nice spot to lie down and rest under some trees, blanketed by some bracken.   After a little while, the initial four arrived and lay down in amongst the other cows. 

The second temporary building had been dismantled.  There was also no security on the fisherman's gate today, and it was locked.  There were still road cones out, preventing people parking in the area, though.
  
The cows were all good today, despite being bothered by a large number of flies.  The Beacon Hill Road fence was also good.

Thursday 10th August - All 19 seen

The cows were all hanging out on the east bank of the larger fishing lake in the area around ///limp.exact.blunders at 17.00.  Cows 21, 30, 35, 214, 215, 234 and 227 were all lying down, relaxing and chewing their cud in the warm sun.   The cows were sharing the bank with some teenagers, who were all enjoying the sunshine and asked several questions about them.

The other twelve cows were all seeking shade from the sun and flies in amongst the trees.  Several were standing and chewing their cud.  Cows 20 and 220 were lying down, resting close to each other towards the rear of the trees.  Youngsters 228 and 230 had buried themselves in some bracken.  I had to pull back some bracken to even get a glimpse of steer 230.   

After a while, youngster 219 and yearling 270 wandered out and had a drink of water from the lake before starting to munch on some grass.  Cow 214 came over and said hello when I had a sit down on one of the benches.  

The temporary stables building was gone today and the other building was lying empty, awaiting dismantling.

The cows were all good today.

Wednesday 9th August - All 19 seen

A mixed group of seven cows were found munching on leaves from the trees behind the temporary stables around ///shame.hairstyle.gent at 16:05 this afternoon.  The filming has finished early, the horses are gone and the stables and the other building were in the process of being dismantled.  Cows 20, 33, 217, 219, 220 and 222 were all munching on grass and having a good sniff around the side of the stables.  All the cows soon cut through the trees and ended up down in the area just outside of Camp 45.

Steers 30, 33, 217, 219, 220, 227, 228 and 271 all went grazing in the thicket on the north side of the reservoir.  They stopped off at ///stiffly.exotic.piper where several had a drink.  They then carried on and ended up grazing around ///smoker.codes.frail at 16:50.

Cows 20, 21, 35, 72, 214, 215, 222, 230, 234, 270 and 940 all went grazing in the thicket on the south side of the reservoir.  They were all very relaxed and were enjoying grazing in the sunshine.  Again, several cows took the opportunity to have a drink from the reservoir.  Although spread out, this group had made it to the area around ///zoned.twin.galloped by 17:00.

The cows were all good this afternoon.
