Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Friday 3rd - Evening - 13 seen

    The seven older cows plus six yearlings were all seen at ///cosmic.clay.shuttled this evening at 17:40.  They were all ok and were busy eating.

    There was no sign of yearlings 220, 222, 230 or 235 despite a good walk around the site.

    Wednesday 1st - Evening - All 17 seen

    Yearlings 220, 222, 230 and 235 were seen sitting down under the trees at ///angel.quicker.applauded at 17:55 this evening.    They were all fine.

    The seven older cows plus the other six yearlings were seen in the trees surrounding ///opts.whizzed.dissolve at 18:45.   They were all busy eating leaves, berries or grass.   They were all fine too.

    0900 Mon 30th Aug All 17 seen

     All but one of the yearlings were by the large fishing lake and the older cows with 213 were at approx ///tables.surprise.pronouns. The grey, 940, was in the thicket trying to get at as many rowan berries as possible. Stay Safe, Marina & Des

    Saturday 28th - All 17 seen

    Nine yearlings were seen munching grass around ///grow.highways.dispensed at just after 14:00.

    Older cows 21 and 35 were seen in the trees at ///nylon.intend.attending at 14:30.

    Older cows 20, 30, 33, 72, 940 and yearling 213 were seen grazing around ///pave.drumbeat.enormous at 14:45.

    All the cows were fine.

    Friday 27th - Evening - 11 seen

    Five older cows plus six yearlings were seen fairly spread out in the area around ///senses.dorms.holidays this evening at 18:50.   They were all busy eating but were all ok.   Didn't see older cows 33 or 35 or yearlings 220, 226, 230 or 235.

    Thursday 26th August.Four found.

     1940, 72, 221 and 222 were buried well off the beaten track (not quite sure where I was) and definitely on their own. No sign of the others elsewhere.
