Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    Thank you!

    0900 Mon 25th Oct None

We went to the locations where they were seen over the weekend, and the places were we had seen them before they were moved to Camp45, not a sign, well foot prints and poo but no actual cows. We are beginning to think they are avoiding us. Stay Safe, Marina & Des

    Broken gate tie

The gate tie (an old bike inner tube!) to the little reservoir building off the track running south to north bordering Gelvert and Caesar’s has been cut so the gate is open.  Smart cattle could wander into Caesar’s if they found the gate.  I tried to make a temporary tie from what remained but it will only hold for a very short time. I have plenty more used inner tubes and can go back on Tuesday and repair it.

    Sunday 24th October - All 17 seen

All seventeen cattle were seen in the area around ///marmalade.shed.gloom at 08:15 this morning.  Sixteen were grazing in the surrounding bushes and trees.  230 was sat down chewing the cud.  He got up about 15 mins later and joined the others.  235 was using a tree to have a good scratch.  They were all fine.
