Emergency Procedure

If you need to report an emergency to us such as injured or escaped livestock or damaged infrastructure please follow this procedure:

  1. Call the office on 01256 381190.
  2. If no one answers, wait for the answering message which will detail the name and mobile number of the member of staff who is currently on call.
  3. Phone the on-call member of staff who will then respond accordingly.

NOTES:

  • Please do not phone a member of staff directly unless you know they are on-call.

  • If you are unsure if a particular situation qualifies as an emergency then please phone the on-call member of staff anyway so that they can make the decision on how to proceed.

  • Most importantly of all – please do not report injuries or sick animals via the blog alone – always call the emergency on-call contact.

    0900 Fri 10th Sept Seven seen

     We saw all 7 older cows at approx ///forgiving.private.residual but there was no sign of the yearlings. Stay Safe, Marina & Des

    Thursday 9th September

    All found after a through look around. Blue was a bit pushy today but all seemed happy enough and no issues 

    Thursday 9th September. Eleven found.

     All 10 youngsters found, together with 35. Buried deep in woods/ bracken in middle of the site.

    0830 8th Sept all 17 found

     Not our day but we saw them from Bourley Road. Thirteen were by the fence/gate dividing Gelvert from Ceasers and road, and 4 were between that and the next gate onto the fishing lakes. Lots of flies but looked alright other wise. Stay Safe, Marina & Des

    Tuesday 7th - All 17 seen

    All seventeen cows were together at or around ///rings.spruced.hoofs at 15:30 this afternoon.   They were pretty much all lying down seeking shade from the sun with the exception of a couple of the yearlings who were busy munching grass.   They were all ok.



    UPDATE - CATTLE MOVE ON 17th

    Hello everyone, the cattle are being moved to Camp 45 on Friday 17th September if all goes to plan. They shall remain there for three weeks with a trough and bowser. The water levels will need checking daily. I'll be sending our looker rota to the grazing team so that we can fill the gaps. Please be extra diligent about letting me know if you won't be able to go on your usual day.

    Monday 6th - 10 seen

    Older cows 20 and 35 were with eight of the yearlings (217, 219, 220, 221, 222, 226, 228 and 230) at ///pupils.flannel.diver at 15:15 this afternoon.   They were all sheltering from the sun in amongst the trees.   They were all ok, although there were a lot of flies bothering them.

    Wasn't able to find the other seven cows despite a good wander around the site.
